It may be used freely in electronic and print forms. This lectionary is intended as a general guide for personal use. It is not intended for liturgical use except for Sundays as well as major feast days of our Lord Jesus Christ and of Mary the Theotokos. • ARCHBISHOP STYLIANOS SPEAKS ABOUT ST PAISIOS OF MT ATHOS (in Greek)
The venerable monk Paisios the Athonite (1924-1994) was canonised a Saint on Tuesday, 13th January 2015 by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
The newest saint of Orthodoxy had visited Australia in the late 1970s, invited by the then recently consecrated Archbishop Stylianos.
In fact, Elder Paisios had expressed his interest to remain in Australia and to establish a monastery here - somewhere between Sydney and Canberra.
This, and other interesting things about St Paisios, are disclosed in an exclusive interview with His Eminence by Greek Program Radio SBS.
